Our Transition Bed was shaped by conversations with thousands of parents over the last few years - but it was our designer(and dad) Stephen who brought those insights to life.

As a dad to energetic twin boys, he understands the challenges faced by busy parents. We don't have time to spend a whole day building furniture while also looking after our little ones so Stephen designed this with the ease of assembly as a top priority. 

At the same time, using materials like sustainable pine and water based waxes keeps children’s environments safe, durable and as natural as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upgrade this Floor Bed to a standard height as my child grows?

Yes. The Roomix Floor Bed is designed to evolve. You can purchase our add-on legs to raise the frame 22cm off the floor. This height is perfect for transitioning to a "big kid" bed and allows you to fit our under-bed storage drawers.

Is there ventilation under the mattress to prevent mould?

Yes. Even though it is a floor bed, the design includes a 4cm air gap created by the side rails. This ensures air circulates freely under the slats, preventing moisture buildup and keeping the mattress fresh.

What is the weight limit? Can I co-sleep on the Floor Bed?

Absolutely. Our Floor Beds are reinforced for co-sleeping. The frame supports up to 200kg, making it safe for a parent to snuggle in for bedtime stories or comforting.

Is the safety barrier reversible?

Yes. The "Switchable Side" barrier can be installed on the left or right side to suit your room layout. Note: If you decide to swap sides later, you will need to fill small screw holes from the original slat rail positioning.

Does it meet UK Safety Standards?

Yes. The 70x140cm model adheres to BS8509 (Toddler Bed) standards for stability and anti-entrapment. Larger sizes meet BS EN 716 standards. We use cotton strapping to ensure slat spacing is permanently fixed at the safest distance.
